About Jason

My name is Jason Riley and I wanted to tell the voters of Cornwall a little bit more about myself.  I am a lifelong resident of Cornwall, Ontario.  I am a graduated of St Joseph’s Catholic Secondary School and St Lawrence College, Cornwall Campus.  I am a husband father and grandfather.

I started my professional career working at a local computer store where I repaired computers for local businesses and consumers.  From there I moved on to work in the IT department at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino.  I was fortunate enough to learn a little about the Mohawk culture while working there.

I have spent the past 15 years working for a software brand at IBM.  Where I manage some of our largest clients.  I am very fortunate, that I have been working from home for the past 13 years.  Working from home on a daily basis allows me to be in the community, it allows me to be accessible and I feel that this will allow me to be a great city councillor.

My parents raise me with a sense of community and giving back.  They taught me how rewarding volunteering can be.  I have been volunteering in our community since I was a child with a variety of organizations, non-profits, and youth sporting clubs.  Most recently I have served on the Board of Directors for the Seaway Valley Soccer Club as their Secretary and Treasurer for the past 5 years.

On this site you will see other short videos outlining my positions on a variety of topics.  If you have a question that you would like to ask me then please feel free to contact me through this site.  I would be more than happy to help answer any questions that you might have.

I hope that when you go to vote in our municipal election on October 24 that you consider voting for me.

Thank you
Jason Riley
